Captain Mike and the Maggie Joe crew hooked up 4 times during Day 4 of the Hawaiian International Billfish Tournament. On board were anglers from the Kona Game and Fishing Club. 1 spearfish was caught and released while deep sea fishing off Kona, Hawaii, giving the guys some points for the day. With Day 5 starting tomorrow and Maggie Joe still in contention for the top boat, let’s all wish Captain Mike and the guys the best of luck!

Wednesday, July 27th, 2011Mahalo to Jason, Jeremy, Jim and Jack for choosing Maggie Joe Sport Fishing! The guys went out with Captain Morgan aboard the Sea Hawk on a private sport fishing charter. They spent the day deep sea fishing outside of Honolulu, Oahu. They hooked up with and reeled in the 275 lb Blue Marlin around noon and as soon as they got the fish in the boat and lines back out the Ahi bit. Monday, July 25th, 2011The Viramontes party joined Captain Matt and Captain Morgan aboard the Ruckus on 7/25/11 on a 3/4 day private sport fishing charter. The guys hauled in 10 Mahi Mahi while deep sea fishing outside of Honolulu, Oahu! Great job and enjoy the fish at the wedding! Aloha!

Sunday, July 24th, 2011Mahalo to Cory, Gary, Ron, Eli, Sarah and Nick for choosing Maggie Joe Sport Fishing! The group departed Kewalo Basin, next to Waikiki, on a full day shared sport fishing charter aboard the Ruckus with Captain Matt and Mate Billy. They spent the day deep sea fishing outside of Waikiki, Oahu. The fish were plentiful as they hauled in a handful of Shibi, an Aku, 2 Mahi Mahi and a Spearfish! Great job and Aloha!

Saturday, July 23rd, 2011Paul and Ray hauled in a 135 lb and 140 lb Ahi today while deep sea fishing outside of Honolulu, Oahu aboard the Ruckus! Captain Matt found a few Ahi yesterday and they came off the line. Today, Paul and Ray did a great job reeling the fish in and they stayed on. We haven’t seen a whole lot of Ahi so far this summer on Oahu sport fishing charters, but this could be a sign of good things to come! Aloha!

Wednesday, July 20th, 2011Captain Mike, Captain Mark and Mate Arya spent the day having some fun while deep sea fishing in Kona, Hawaii while waiting for the prestigious HIBT. Captain Mike and the Maggie Joe were again invited to participate in the HIBT – an invitation only tournament featuring some of the best sport fishing teams from around the world.
Captain Mark reeled in an estimated 100 lb Blue Marlin before tagging and releasing it alongside the boat.
